Weobley was the winner of the “Village of the Year Competition” in 1999 and the joint winner in 2000. This is not an easy competition to win and Weobley’s success is indicative of the care which the villagers take and their pride in their village. Why not come along and see why the judges selected Weobley and view the prize Magpie sculpture?
The most striking building is the Church of St Peter & St Paul, which can be seen from many parts of the village. It was used in 1999 for the making of the film “Unconditional Love” starring Cathy Bates.
Weobley is one of the “Black & White Trail” villages and has a wealth of wonderful old buildings which really must be seen.
